Horse appraisal in Tennessee.
Our team appraises horses all over Tennessee, and in every other state besides. We see mostly Tennessee Walking Horses and Spotted Saddle Horses here, though plenty of AQHA horses cross the desk too, and the process doesn't change from one to the next.
UT Martin competes in NCAA Equestrian. Tennessee's therapy barns take gaited and stock horses alike, which is not true everywhere.
Questions we get about Tennessee
- Does an enforcement record affect a gaited horse's value?
- Materially. A horse or a barn with a compliance history against it's harder to sell and worth less, and an appraisal that ignores that isn't describing the real market. We check the record before we write a number.
- Do you appraise Spotted Saddle Horses and other gaited breeds?
- Yes. Gaited horses are valued on quality of gait, show record, and soundness, and the comparables come from gaited sales rather than from stock horse or sport horse markets.
