Questions we get about Minnesota

Can a horse we owned before the marriage stay mine in Minnesota?
Minnesota divides marital property equitably and recognizes nonmarital property that can be traced. A horse you brought into the marriage can stay yours, and the report dates the value so your attorney can do that tracing.
Can you appraise a horse from video taken indoors?
Yes. We ask for good light, a level surface, and the horse moving straight toward and away from the camera. Winter video from an indoor arena is fine if it shows those things.
