Consulting
Equine consulting and expert witness.
Appraisals are most of what we do. They are not all of it. When something in the horse business needs an opinion that will hold up, this is the rest of the practice.

Across the industry
Hunters and jumpers, reining, western performance, gaited horses, eventing, breeding stock. The breadth is the point. A horse is only worth what its own market will pay, and we know those markets.

Expert witness and litigation support
Testimony and written opinions when a dispute over a sale or a horse's soundness reaches counsel. Both sides read the methodology before they read the number.

Buying and selling
An independent read on a horse you're considering, or a defensible asking price on one you're selling. We also review appraisals somebody else wrote.

Donation and placement
We find the program that will actually use the horse and introduce you to the people who run it. The trial, the transport and the appraisal follow from there.

Programs and institutions
Universities, therapeutic programs and nonprofits ask us what to accept and what a donated horse is really worth to them. We help them build an intake that holds up.

Breeding and bloodstock
Valuing broodmares, stallions, embryos and shares, where produce record and nomination demand matter more than a show record.

Insurance, estates and trusts
Carriers, executors and CPAs need a number they can file. We tell them what the horse is worth and what has to be documented to support it.
A donated horse has to suit the program.
We have spent years on the receiving end of donations, deciding which horses a program could use and which ones were going to sit in a field. A horse placed somewhere it does not fit helps nobody, and the deduction is the smaller half of that problem.
