Questions we get about Maine
- Is there a market for pulling horses?
- A small, specific one, and the buyers in it know exactly what they're paying for. We use sales between pulling people as comparables and weigh the horse's results within its class.
- Our horse is in Maine and the likely buyer is in Massachusetts. Which market sets the value?
- The market the horse would realistically sell in, which for most Maine horses is New England as a whole. The report names the market and explains the choice.
