Horse Appraisal New Mexico Spotlight - Lalique

For this month's horse appraisal spotlight, we wanted to highlight a special equine appraisal we did for a client in New Mexico who donated their horse to a therapeutic riding program.

Lalique is a 16-year-old, Brandenburger mare sired by the stallion Lesotho (by Landgraf I) and out of the mare Marvina (by Matador Xx), and wow, is she special. Lalique started her career in 2011 as a Grand Prix jumper in Germany. She made her way to the United States in 2014 where she continued to show in the highest level Grand Prixs across the United States. After her career as a top-level Grand Prix horse, Lalique demonstrated great versatility by transitioning into equitation/hunter competition while still competing in the lower-level jumper classes.

From the short-stirrup ring to international Grand Prixs, Lalique is an incredible horse donation.

From the international Grand Prix circuit to the 2’3” equitation ring, this mare is a proven winner and teacher - a truly unique combination. This month, Lalique is transitioning to a new teaching role; she will be working with students at the New Mexico Center for Therapeutic Riding (NMCTR) in Santa Fe.

We can’t wait to hear more about this incredible horse and her new family at the NMCTR.
